The Community Center on Lehner St. (formerly Factory St.) was built in 1922,3 as a centralized Fire Station. As motorized equipment was starting to be used, there was no longer a need for multiple local stations. It remained as the Fire Station until 1974, when the Public Safety Building became the new Fire Department location. This building was converted to a Community Center in 1976.
