Behind the Electric Department building on Factory Street in winter, 1945. The chimney is a remnant from the first shoe factory, built in 1884 and burned down in 1887.

08/05/2026:  Paul McBride:  This is the chimney at the Clow Mill site across Back Bay from the Wolfeboro Railroad Station which is partly visible at the right. The car is probably a 1936 model, so the photo is from 1936 or later.
