Wolfeboro Historical Society Road Trips The Road Less Traveled

Maple syrup season is mid-February to mid-April. Sap buckets are hung on taps hammered into the maple sugar trees. Simple gathering process has existed for many years. Only modern improvement is in hilly locations, where small plastic hoses can use gravity to send sap to a central gathering vat.
