The Wolfeboro Post Office was built in 1937. The site was previously a large hotel, built in 1872 as the Glendon Hotel, later became Hotel Elmwood, then Hobbs-Is-Inn, razed in 1935. The interior includes photos of the construction and a mural painted under one of FDR's programs to promote the arts.
