Wolfeboro Historical Society Museum Tours Barn Tour

On the left is a decorative vase. Center is a store twine holder, which would hang near the checkout counter and dispense string to tie boxes, especially in bakeries where every product would be boxed as sold. On the right is a c. 1915 blowtorch; kerosene or gasoline blowtorches came into use in the late 1800's and were used by plumbers, tinsmiths and wiremen. They became obsolete for light duty wiring as electric soldering irons were invented, but continued to be used for heavy work until replaced by propane torches around 1950.
