Catholics in Wolfeboro attended services given by visiting Priests until 1898, when a building was erected on Beatrice Street. Several other buildings were used as the congregation grew. This building, on Sewall Street where the rear of the Wolfeboro Inn is today, became St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in 1911. This building was used until the Church relocated to South Main Street in the 1940's.
